Over the last week I've found some handy things:
ZATOO - watch live terrestrial TV, legally, for free.
SPOTIFY - free music player, good quality tracks, all legal.
Both services require sign up, but they are guilt free!
Available for MAC and PC.
MMMMMMM, tastes like legal.

Hey, I had a look at the sites, they were great! spotify was cool. Thanks for the tip, let me return the favour. Have you checked out www.viewmy.tv? I reckon it is one of the best things out there for watching free tv from all over the world, it even has its own social network within the site so you can make your own channel list and chat to your friends. Coupled with all the widgets and apps available such as a facebook widget where I can watch tv in facebook, I would say you have a very cool thing right there!
